Farnell stocks Analog Devices’ real time clock

Farnell now offers the MAX3133, ultra-low power, real-time clock (RTC) time-keeping device from Analog Devices.

The MAX31331 supports a wide range of 32.768kHz crystals and is accessed through an I2C serial interface.

The device consumes nominal 65nA time-keeping current, extending battery life, and is well-suited for battery-powered and portable devices, including, wearables, medical devices, IoT and more. The MAX31331 features several benefits that make it a valuable addition to any system that requires accurate timekeeping. These benefits include:

Ultra-low-power

Automatic switch over to a backup supply in the event of a power failure, ensuring accurate timekeeping even in adverse conditions

Small Footprint and Low BOM: compact footprint of 1.66 x 1.26mm, making it ideal for applications with limited space

Ease of use: timestamps for various events, low battery voltage detection, 1/128 second register and alarms and countdown timer
