Advantech unveils Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9-based solution

Advantech is proud to introduce its latest Edge AI solutions powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-9075 processor, including the AOM-6741 SMARC module, ASR-A503 and AFE-A503 robotic controller, and AIR-055VV Edge AI system. Designed for industrial-grade vision intelligence, these platforms enable a new generation of Edge AI applications by delivering up to 100 TOPS of AI performance and supporting up to 16 concurrent cameras. By integrating multimedia processing with AI, Advantech enables the shift from machine vision to real-time vision reasoning across robotics, automation, and smart surveillance.

Advanced vision AI with ISP, VPU, and NPU

At the core of the IQ-9075 processor lies a highly optimised vision processing architecture. The integrated ISP and VPU pipeline, together with support for high-speed vision interfaces such as MIPI-CSI, USB 3.0, and GbE, enable efficient image preprocessing and high-throughput video streaming. This supports multi-camera systems for complex Edge deployments. In addition, the powerful NPU delivers up to 100 TOPS (dense) / 200 TOPS (sparse) of AI performance, enabling real-time execution of computer vision workloads such as object detection, tracking, and optical character recognition (OCR). Together, these capabilities allow Edge devices to process and analyse visual data with low latency, forming a strong foundation for next-generation vision intelligence and AI-driven applications.

Optimized power efficiency for real-time Edge AI

The IQ-9075 processor leverages a heterogeneous Arm based computing architecture to deliver performance per watt leadership for industrial Edge AI. Combining a high-performance 8-core Qualcomm Kryo Gen 6 CPU for complex data processing and multitasking with an integrated real-time MCU subsystem, the IQ-9075 processor enables deterministic execution for latency and safety critical workloads.

Designed for real world industrial AI deployments, the IQ-9075 processor tightly couples its real-time subsystem with the AI pipeline to ensure predictable behaviour, low latency response, and coordinated decision-making between AI inference and system control. This integrated approach enables scalable, reliable, and responsive Edge intelligence for next generation industrial applications.

Advantech streamlined software service to accelerate development

To further accelerate development, Advantech provides end-to-end software services, spanning from bootloader, OS to application development, enabling a fully integrated stack that streamlines and accelerates Edge AI deployment. The Advantech BSP Launcher provides a unified tool for managing BSPs, images, and updates, simplifying development workflows and reducing complexity. In addition, the Advantech Edge AI SDK and Robotics Suite integrate AI frameworks, multimedia pipelines, and ROS2-based tools to enable rapid application development. With modular and scalable software services, Advantech helps customers accelerate time-to-market and unlock the full potential of IQ9-based vision intelligence solutions.
