The UK’s deeptech sector will gather in London on 3rd December 2025 for the return of the Annual TechWorks Awards, an industry event positioning itself as one of the country’s leading showcases for engineering-led innovation.
The awards, to be hosted by comedian Ian Stone at the Royal Lancaster Hotel overlooking Hyde Park, are organised by TechWorks, the industry association that aims to strengthen the UK’s role in the global technology ecosystem. The group was established to respond to shifting dynamics in semiconductor, embedded-systems, and advanced-electronics markets, and to promote the UK’s ambition to become a global technology superpower.
This year’s programme will include the launch of the Women in TechWorks Awards, a new initiative created by members to highlight achievement, accelerate careers, and support women working across the sector. The inaugural award will recognise an individual who has made a notable contribution to technology and the wider tech community.
Last year’s winners included Filtronic, which took the TechWorks Company of the Year title, Kubos, which was named Deep Tech Startup of the Year, and Sergejs Leonovs of Zero Point Motion, who received the Young Engineer of the Year award.
Charles Sturman, Chief Executive of TechWorks, said the awards were intended as an inclusive celebration of companies and individuals operating across the UK technology landscape. He added that the organisation expected strong interest in the 2025 round, noting the consistently high standard of previous entrants.
