IAR, a provider of software solutions for embedded systems development, announced a partnership with Quintauris, a provider of RISC-V based solutions.

The collaboration enables the IAR embedded development platform to be part of Quintauris’ RT-Europa Reference Architecture offering, leveraging IAR’s certified compiler and enabling future integration of the automated build tools, advanced debugging, and testing technologies for RISC-V automotive real-time applications.

By combining IAR’s trusted toolchain with Quintauris’ RISC-V reference architecture, developers gain access to a powerful, production-ready environment that accelerates software development while ensuring compliance with the most stringent automotive safety standards. RT-Europa provides a specialized RISC-V platform tailored for real-time processors, specifically targeting automotive applications. The IAR platform includes certified toolchains for functional safety development, supporting key standards such as ISO 26262 for the automotive market.

“We are excited to join forces with Quintauris to extend our support for RISC-V developers in the automotive domain,” said Thomas Andersson, CPO, IAR. “Through this partnership, we continue our commitment to providing world-class toolchains that ensure safety, quality, and performance for next-generation embedded systems.”

“This collaboration with IAR reinforces our mission to provide a reliable and high-performance RISC-V software ecosystem for the automotive sector,” said Pedro Lopez, Market Strategy Officer at Quintauris. “By integrating IAR’s proven toolchain technology into our reference architecture, we’re enabling developers to confidently build and certify safety-critical systems.”

The integration of the IAR platform into the Quintauris reference architecture marks another step toward establishing a cohesive RISC-V ecosystem for the automotive industry. Together, the companies are helping developers meet the industry’s increasing demands for safety, performance, and scalability in future vehicle architectures.
