Gary Marsh, Chief Executive Officer of Solid State, has passed away following a short illness. Marsh had been part of the company for nearly 40 years and was regarded by colleagues as both a leader and a friend.
Marsh was described as approachable and personable, carrying out his role with dedication, humour, and a constant smile. Colleagues noted that he was not only their CEO but also a highly respected colleague whose influence extended across the company. The business expressed gratitude for the legacy he leaves behind.
During his tenure, Marsh oversaw significant growth and geographic expansion for Solid State while maintaining a strong focus on the welfare of employees. His commitment and leadership were described as a source of inspiration for all within the organisation.
The company extends its condolences to Marsh’s family and loved ones.
John Macmichael, Managing Director of Solsta, will assume the role of Interim CEO, supported by the Board of Directors and senior management, to ensure continuity and stability across the Group.
