TDK Corporation announces additional features and functionality to the TDK-Lambda DRB 3-phase AC-DC DIN rail mount power supplies. The series, with output power levels from 120 to 960W, is currently offered with a nominal AC input range of 400 to 500Vac. The upgraded DRB series will now operate over an extended range of 380 to 500Vac nominal (50-60Hz), enabling the products to be also used in China, Africa and South America.

In addition, these DIN rail power supplies will now function with DC input voltage ranging from 450 to 810Vdc, following successful testing to IEC EN 62477-1 for power electronic systems and equipment. This makes them suitable for use in applications where the voltage source is a battery, solar panels, or any other type of rectified bus voltage.

The primary to secondary isolation barrier has been extended from 3510Vac to 6500Vdc making them compliant for use with electric vehicle charging equipment under UL 2231-2. In addition, board coated models are now available, (suffixes -A6 and -A7), to provide protection during the use in applications with dust and dirt, flowing mixed gases (IEC 60068-2-60), and salt mist atmospheres (IEC 60068-2-11).

These enhancements cover all DRB 3-phase models from 120 to 960W. For a clear differentiation from the previous product revisions, all the new products will come with an updated design of the front label. As of today, TDK-Lambda will equip their stocks with new product revisions. The transition period will be finished by Dec 31st, 2025. Users relying on the new features and functionalities should contact their local TDK-Lambda representative during this period.
