Pickering Electronics will showcase its range of relays for semiconductor test – including its new Series 600 customisable high voltage reed relays offering up to 20kV stand-off across the switch contacts and up to 25kV stand-off switch to coil – at Semicon Taiwan 2025.

Visitors can find Pickering in the UK Pavilion, Booth I3022/J3034, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre, 10-12th September, 2025.

The Series 600 range represents a major innovation in high voltage reed relay design. These devices have been specially designed to be adaptable to meet customer requirements, with options for stand-off voltages up to 20kV across the switch and 25kV switch to coil, configurable pin-outs and connection options, coil resistances, package formats, potting materials and more. This flexibility allows semiconductor test engineers and system designers to specify exactly the relay performance they need, balancing size, isolation, and switching speed for their unique applications.

Ideal applications include:

  • Semiconductor wafer probe and package test – hi-pot, leakage, stress, and isolation checks
  • EV and battery testing – high-voltage charge/discharge cycling
  • Solar PV and renewable energy systems – panel isolation and breakdown testing
  • Medical and scientific instrumentation – precision high-voltage switching in compact systems
  • Big physics and research labs – demanding test setups requiring guaranteed reliability

“Semicon Taiwan is one of the most important shows on the global semiconductor calendar, and we’re excited to present our Series 600 customisable high voltage relays here for the first time,” said Robert King, Product Manager at Pickering Electronics. “By combining industry-first 20kV stand-off across the switch contacts with up to 25kV switch-to-coil isolation, plus a fully customisable design, we’re giving test engineers the ability to push performance boundaries while keeping systems compact, reliable, and efficient.”

Alongside the Series 600, Pickering will also display its full portfolio of high-performance reed relays, including:

  • High-density switching – relays with a footprint as small as 4 x 4mm, ideal for semiconductor ATE and mixed-signal test
  • RF reed relays – optimised for 50Ω/75Ω systems with low loss and high repeatability
  • Ultra-low leakage relays – for sub-pA parametric and capacitance-voltage testing
  • Long-life relays – supporting continuous 24/7 operation for millions, or even billions of operations

Pickering Interfaces – the switching division of the Pickering Group – will also be present at the booth, showcasing its modular signal switching solutions for semiconductor test and verification systems. Together, Pickering Electronics and Pickering Interfaces provide a uniquely broad portfolio of switching and relay technology to support semiconductor, EV, and high-voltage test engineers worldwide.
