Bourns announced its SRP3220A series shielded power inductors. Designed with Bourns’ uniquely-formulated metal alloy powder core, the series can handle high currents up to 11A without saturating, and supports reliable operation in high-temperature environments.
These automotive grade, AEC-Q200 compliant power inductors feature a high heating current rating and shielded construction that minimises magnetic field radiation. The capabilities delivered with the SRP3220A Series also help enhance performance, thermal stability and meet demanding automotive temperature requirements making Bourns’ latest power inductors a cost-effective and efficient power management solution for a growing range of automotive systems.
The SRP3220A Series is offered in a space-saving, low-profile form factor and features a wide operating temperature range of -55 to +150°C. In addition to the advantages realized by the series’ metal alloy powder core, its flat-wire construction also contributes to very low DC resistance (DCR) compared to other similarly-sized shielded power inductors. Moreover, the low profile footprint offered with these power inductors occupies less printed circuit board (PCB) space, giving engineers the flexibility to design-in additional capabilities or match reduced space requirements.
The Bourns SRP3220A Series is available now through Bourns’ authorised distribution partners, and is RoHS compliant.
