Tektronix is providing its SignalVu-PC software at no cost, giving open access to powerful signal analysis tools that have previously been only available with the purchase of expensive bench instruments. An open API allows customers to use their own custom Windows-based interface such as Matlab or Python to manipulate raw data coming from the instrument.
The RSA306 is designed to address customer RF test needs in a number of market segments including budget-conscious RF design and development, mobile radio network installation and maintenance, interference hunters and University lab classes.
Chris Godfrey, Global Product Director Test & Tools at Farnell element14, said: “We recognise the gap in the market for an affordable spectrum analyser and the RSA306 from Tektronix fulfils this whilst offering excellent sensitivity, accuracy and dynamic range. We will be demonstrating the RSA306 at electronica in Munich next week where customers will be able to see the functionality of the product first hand.”
