DIN rail power supplies target cabinets with a limited width

DIN rail power supplies, suitable for cabinets with a limited width, have been released by MEAN WELL. Measuring 40mm in width, the EDR-120, NDR-120 and EDR-150 can be installed on DIN rail TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15. The power supplies, which succeed the company’s EDR-75 and NDR-75 series, are rated at 120W (EDR-120 and NDR-120) and 156W (EDR-150).

Operating from an input of 90-264VAC, the EDR-120 and NDR-120 provide an output of either 2, 24 or 48V and the EDR-150 24V. The DIN rail power supplies, which are designed without a built-in fan, have efficiencies of up to 88.5% (EDR-120), 87% (EDR-150) and 89% (NDR-120). Due to this efficiency and the cooling provided by free air convection, the power supplies can operate from -20 to +60℃ (EDR-120 and EDR-150) and -20 to +70℃ (NDR-120), respectively. Features include short circuit protection, overload protection (constant current limiting output), over voltage protection, over temperature protection and front panel DC voltage adjustment.

Certified with UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE safety regulations, the DIN rail power supplies meet EN61000-6-2, the EM Susceptibility standard. In relation to Electro Magnetic Interference, EN55022 Class A (EDR-120 and EDR-150) and Class B (NDR-120) standards are also met by the power supplies. The EDR-120, NDR-120 and EDR-150 are suitable for industrial control systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation and electro-mechanical apparatus.
