The TB6585AFTG is available in a small, leadless, heat-dissipating QFN48 package, realizing the same absolute maximum ratings for voltage and current as existing products in larger packages. Contributing to equipment downsizing and lower PCB costs, the sine wave driver IC reduces the required mounting area by approximately 75%.
“This newest addition to the Toshiba motor control driver line up once again proves the company’s design expertise and technical innovation that continues to deliver integration and packaging benefits not only for industrial and commercial applications, but also consumer applications as well,” comments Andrew Burt, vice president of the Analog and Imaging Business Unit, System LSI Group at Toshiba.
The TB6585AFTG is a highly integrated motor control IC with motor control logic, MOSFET predrivers, and six high-performance MOSFETs. The TB6585AFTG employs a compact, leadless, thermally efficient QFN48 7mm x 7mm package with an assembly bonding technique that improves the current handling capability by 45 percent over the previous version of the device.
Typical applications for the TB6585AFTG include ventilation and electric fans typically used in range hoods, microwave ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and more.
