Contaminated couplers are typically the reason for bad transmission characteristics and damage to the optical fibre. Particularly with field applications it is not always easy to quickly remove dirt and dust.
Now there is a suitable solution: cleaning sticks with an antistatic structure remove particles and dust without any problems. The sticks are available for 1.25mm and 2.5mm couplers.
