As part of the Sierra Wireless MiniCard family, the MC8705 enables users to expand their product development into applications that require higher bandwidth. The MC8705 offers the user to take advantage of the fastest mobile broadband networks offering download speeds up to 21Mbps.
The MC8705 is based on the PCI Express MiniCard standard with a USB 2.0 interface. A voice option is also available in the MC8704 variant.
Support for Qualcomm’s gpsOne technology is included within the module enabling GPS connectivity should the application require this.
