Sungrow’s US Version 250KW Inverter CSA Certified

The SG250KU inverter designed by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. for the US market has recently been certified with the CSA, soon after the certification of the SG250KC for the Canada market. Therefore, 250KW inverters developed by Sungrow for the North American region have been all certified with CSA.

According to EPIA’s statistics, the installed photovoltaic capacity of the US market in 2011 was up to 1,600 MW, ranking fourth in the world and increasing by 100% by comparing with the previous year. The photovoltaic industry in the region will keep the pace in the future. However, the requirements on the entry of relevant equipment into the region are highly demanding. As an important device for photovoltaic power generation systems, photovoltaic inverters must be certified with relevant safety standards before entering the US market.

Sungrow, as China’s largest and world famous photovoltaic inverter manufacturer, has been dedicated to developing the North American market for years and is expediting the progress now. Previously, Sungrow’s 100KW inverters have been admitted to the North American market and sold to the US in batches. Then SG250KC inverter designed for the Canadian market was certified with CSA, becoming the first high power inverter that passes the certification in China.

The recently certified SG250KU inverter conforms to the standard requirements on 480V AC voltage and grid connection of the US and provides multiple communication interfaces. Meanwhile, it has wider MPPT voltage adaptability and can work with various photovoltaic components, and is thus applicable for various photovoltaic power generation systems. The certification of the SG250KU further enriches Sungrow’s product line for the US market and guarantees the expansion of Sungrow in the US.
