The MP220 uses a fast snap action mechanism to change from break to make position. The standard version of the switch is sealed to IP67 standard for moisture and dust protection; a version offering improved IP68 sealing with a strengthened cable exit is also available for more demanding applications.
The switch comes in a standard micro switch size housing with a large range of possible actuators. Connection is by a 4-wire directly over-moulded cable in PVC, PUR or SI, depending on operating temperature requirements. The switch itself is rated for 10A/250VAC operation over -40°C to 130°C to EN61058 certification. UL certification to the new UL61058 standard is planned for the second half of 2013.
