iPower Conference to Showcase UK Power Electronics

IMAPS-UK & NMI have released details of their forthcoming iPower Technical Conference, which will bring together specialists in the field of power engineering from Science, Academia, Supply and Industry at The University of Warwick on 30 November and 1st December 2011.

The event, being held in conjunction with the University’s, Electronics, Power and Microsystems Research Group headed by Professor Phil Mawby, will provide a unique insight into the fields latest developments and technologies, including applications, trends & devices, thermal management & efficiency, device fabrication, packaging, test & reliability, assembly materials & technologies, high reliability & temperature.

In addition to its strong technical programme comprising sixteen papers across two days, iPower delegates will also get the opportunity to take tours of the SiC & VEF Laboratories on Campus, view EV demonstrators from leading UK manufacturers & developers, review posters from academic and industrial researchers, attend a gala dinner and examine exhibits at the supporting tabletop exhibition.

The event will conclude with the Power Factor panel session, which will debate key elements raised in the forthcoming Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), UK Power Electronics Strategy document.
