IQD Announce Low Phase Noise TCXO At Embedded World 2013

IQD’s new IQXT-60 series Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator offers excellent phase noise performance in a miniature low height package. With typical phase noise figures of -63dBc/Hz at 10Hz and -161dBc/Hz at 100kHz coupled with a low current consumption of around 5.0mA, the new model is a very versatile high performance oscillator.

Phase noise performance is increasingly critical for applications delivering fast data transfer such as GPS, GSM, WCDMA and WiMAX as well as a very wide range of portable applications.

Housed in a miniature 3.2 x 2.5mm ceramic package measuring only 1.0mm high, the new model is available at any frequency from 4.0MHz to 54.0MHz; this is exceptionally wide for a TCXO and obviates the need for external dividers or multipliers in many applications.

The frequency stability of ±2.5ppm over the operating temperature range of –30 to +75 degrees C and frequency tolerance of ±0.5ppm matches existing industry standards.

The IQXT-60 series has a HCMOS output capable of driving 15pF whilst operating from a standard 3.3, 2.8 or 2.5V power supply.

Further details will be available at IQD’s stand 152 in Hall 1 at Embedded World 2013.
