PHYTEC America Wins Microsoft’s 2010 Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award

PHYTEC America was named winner of Microsoft’s 2010 Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award in the ‘Time to Market’ category for the Americas. This is PHYTEC’s fourth consecutive win and recognition of PHYTEC for providing end-to-end solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers in all stages of their embedded product developments from initial concept to full production.

The Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award acknowledges visionaries and organizations around the world that use Windows Embedded technology in innovative and creative ways and was presented October 13th at the Windows Embedded Partner Program Summit in Redmond, Washington.

Building a new embedded device from the ground up is an enormous challenge and risk, but embedded designs can be made much easier, faster, and cheaper by leveraging existing designs, states Josie Adams, Sr. Product Manager for PHYTEC America. By using an off-the-shelf SOM and production-ready BSP, combined with PHYTEC integration and design services, an OEM customer will eliminate 6-12 months off their development timeline.”

“Microsoft is pleased to recognize PHYTEC as the 2010 winner of the Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award in the ‘Time to Market’ category, said Valerie Olague, senior partner marketing manager for Windows Embedded at Microsoft. PHYTEC production-ready System on Module (SOM) technology, combined with their Windows Embedded board support packages, provides a core foundation so customers do not have to develop their embedded application from the ground up. These building blocks serve as a means to reduce the complexity and scope of product developments, allowing the customer to focus on their application and significantly reduce cost and time-to-market.
