The CTA306 is housed in a robust IP65 aluminium housing measuring 35 x 35 x 16mm, and is based around MEMS precision micro-machined silicon capacitative devices. They have an integral amplifier with a choice of 5V or 8 – 16V DC supply voltages, and provides an output of 0.5 to 4.5V, with a 2.5V offset (ie ±2V with the 2.5V point representing zero). The operating temperature range is -20 to +100°C, with the compensated range being +20 to +100°C. Linearity is ±1% of full scale output. As standard, the CTA306 is supplied with a 1 metre screened flying lead, although other lengths or a subminiature mil-spec chassis plug connector are available to order.
Said Aptifirst’s Roy Carter, The CTA306 series of low bandwidth accelerometers provides an easy way to detect low frequency vibrations in many applications. We are always happy to consider making modified versions for special applications. They are a welcome addition to our successful range of accelerometers.
