Antenna booster replaces conventional solutions

Availability and full design support capabilities for the ONE mXTEND multiband antenna booster from Ignion is announced by Richardson RFPD.

The ONE mXTEND is the smallest Virtual Antenna supporting cellular and unlicensed IoT wireless devices.

It is part of a new generation of antenna solutions based on Ignion’s Virtual Antenna technology.

This technology enables replacing conventional and custom antenna solutions with a new class of antenna boosters, including miniature and off-the-shelf chip antenna components. These new multiband, multipurpose chip antennas fit in a variety of wireless platforms.

This enables simpler, faster and less expensive designs versus custom solutions.

The miniature, high-efficiency ONE mXTEND supports all possible frequency coverage combinations of Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, 5G and cellular IoT.

It is specifically designed to provide multiband performance in wireless devices with small space requirements, and it can be adapted, with a high level of flexibility, to fit the antenna designer’s needs.
