The medical and aerospace sectors are strong right now, and a good fit for our capabilities because they demand close tolerance, high spec work. For example, we can produce boards to IPC 610A – Class 3.”
He adds: “Although HCD continues to invest in new technology and we now have two surface mount lines, we also retain our through-hole production capability, so we can be very flexible, both in technology and turn-around time. And our production staff is also highly skilled, having been recruited from major manufacturers in the aerospace and other similarly demanding sectors.”
He concludes: “Although we have built a reputation for specialising in prototype and short-run production orders, we are now also well-positioned to handle medium volume orders.” Recently the company has added cable assembly and box build capabilities to its core PCBA business.
