Programmable HF oscillator with differential output for high performance applications

MSC now offers the SiT9107, a MEMS-based HF oscillator, from SiTime. Key features of the SiT9107 are a wide frequency range from 220 MHz to 800 MHz and user configurable output signaling levels such as Low Voltage Positive Emitter Coupled Logic (LVPECL), Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), CML and HCSL.

Additional features of the oscillator device, which is available in industry standard footprints 5.0×3.2 mm and 7.0×5.0 mm, include excellent frequency stability of ±10, ±15, ±20, ±25 and ±50 ppm, up to 5 decimal places of frequency accuracy and three available operating voltages from 1.8 V to 3.3 V.

The SiT9107 – designed for high performance applications such as Ethernet switches, Solid-State Drives (SSDs), Optical Line Terminals (OLT), RAID controllers, Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), servers, memories and PCIe-based embedded applications – supports common protocols such as Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet, SAS, SATA, DDR as well as microprocessor and FPGA clocking.
