MYDATA boosts performance remotely!

To help electronics manufacturers unlock the full potential and profitability of their SMT lines MYDATA is now offering a new service – MYRemote Performance. For users of the service, MYDATA regularly accesses data from their SMT machines, subjects it to expert analysis, and provides recommendations for process improvements.

While MYDATA machines automatically collect all of the data needed for performance optimisation, many users don’t have the time or resources to make full use of this information. MYRemote Performance provides a comprehensive and cost-effective solution to this problem.

The service is available to all users of MYDATA equipment and operates on a twelve-month contract. It includes an initial on-site audit of the user’s machine lines, feeder inventory, current methods of working and jobs. Once this audit has been completed, reports from the machine are sent each month by email to MYDATA, where they are reviewed and analysed by experienced SMT engineers, who use sophisticated software tools to identify opportunities for improvement.

On the basis of this analysis, MYDATA supplies a detailed report and recommendations that might, for example, include modifications to dimension parameters, suggestions for the use of different feeders, adjustments to placement speed or wait time, recommendations for different or custom nozzles, and modifications to vision parameters.

The systematic month-on-month performance reviews, coupled with the implementation of the suggested improvements, in almost every case lead to reductions in component errors, along with increases in machine performance, cph and ultimately profitability.

As an additional benefit for users of the MYRemote Performance service, every quarter MYDATA provides an additional report that includes historical performance data and details of the improvements that have been gained. This report also includes benchmarking data generated from all machines in the MYRemote Performance programme, which allows users to see how their operation rates in comparison with others.
