Model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, processor-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop tests, plus their associated requirements, can all be managed systematically with SYNECT Test Management. They can easily be combined to produce execution plans and then used directly for test execution, for example, with dSPACE AutomationDesk. Analyses of tests, test coverage and test progress can be generated quickly and easily from the test results stored centrally in SYNECT Test Management, presented in a well-organized form and used for further test planning.
Closely associated with SYNECT Test Management is another new module from dSPACE: SYNECT Variant Management, which provides comprehensive support for handling variants. For example, users can specify which tests are applicable to which variants, and create execution plans accordingly. SYNECT Test Management and SYNECT Variant Management are modules of SYNECT, the new dSPACE data management and collaboration software with special support for model-based development and ECU testing. SYNECT is equally suitable for small, local development teams and large, global departments. A SYNECT module for signal and parameter management will be available at the beginning of 2013. Support for model management will follow later in the year.
