Handheld is committed to bringing only the best products to the market, said Jerker Hellstrom, CEO of the Handheld Group. We are pleased to work with Hemisphere GPS, a leader in precision GPS, to offer our customers an exceptionally rugged and robust DGPS solution in the Kenaz.
The Kenaz is small and compact, yet rugged, standing up in even the most demanding environments. It boasts a maintenance-free smart antenna and Compact Flash adapter that maintains the IP67 rating for the total handheld solution. Powered by Hemisphere GPS Crescent(R) receiver technology, it offers superior positioning accuracy required for precise positioning applications. It supports SBAS differential corrections and Hemisphere GPS exclusive e-Dif(R) extended differential option. Also, if a differential signal is lost, Hemisphere GPS COAST(TM) technology maintains accuracy for up to 40 minutes. The Kenaz is designed for low power consumption to conserve the TDS Nomad’s battery power, and an optional external antenna is available for additional accuracy.
We are pleased that our Crescent GPS technology will be part of Handheld’s success in the marketplace, says Phil Gabriel, Hemisphere GPS VP and General Manager for Precision Products. Our partnership with Handheld will bring a superior product to the market through a strong distribution network and will be mutually beneficial to both companies. We look forward to continuing a strong relationship for years to come.
