The connectors feature a well proven contact system which has been tested to overcome automotive levels of vibration, shock and temperature cycling while the simplicity of wire insertion with a simple tool permits a wide range of devices – such as LEDs – to be connected to the PCB without soldering.
In solid state lighting applications, these connectors are typically used to bring power and signal on to the board or to daisy-chain multiple boards together. Available in a 1p to 3p configuration, the 9176 connectors can be end stackable for higher pin counts. Two large SMT solder tails per wire provide maximum stability on the PCB.

The IDC contact provides a gas-tight connection to the wire conductor while the housing has been designed to “grab” the insulation to provide positive strain relief under even the harshest conditions.
