RiskCAT is now adapted to Edition 2 of the basic safety standard IEC 61508, which was published as final English version in April 2010. As an optional component – similar to RiskCAT for various standards as for example ISO 26262 – a module for comparing IEC 61508 Edition 2 (2010) against Edition 1 (1998 until 2000) is available.
In addition to the support for the new IEC 61508 standard, RiskCAT 61508 version 6 offers an improved user interface. This includes the option to compare different SILs (Safety Integrity Levels) as well as improvements for the definition of the required SIL. Existing customers can get the new RiskCAT 61508 as an upgrade for a favorable price.
