“Powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor N270 with the Mobile Intel® 945GME Express chipset, the CEM831 offers well-balanced in power consumption, performance, scalability, and pricing. Its four PCI, three PCIe x1 and one PCIe x16 expansion buses maximize the flexibility of system development. Multiple displays are supported by a LVDS interface and VGA port interface, and the chipset’s SDVO bus can be configured to support DVI, said Joseph Chou, Product Manager of Embedded Board and Technology Business Unit at Axiomtek. “This great-standard COM Express SoM is highly beneficial for any application that requires the need for expansion. Like all Axiomtek COM Express type-II modules, the CEM831 offers fast time-to-market with reduced development cost and significant freedom in meeting form-fit-function requirements.”
Integrated with the baseboard, the CEM831 has the capability of eight Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports, AC’97/HD Audio, two SATA-150, one Gigabit LAN, LPC interface, SMBus, PATA-100 IDE, PCIe x16, three PCIe x1, and four PCI expansions. The compact platform runs under Windows® 7, Windows® Vista, Windows® XP, Linux, and QNX operating systems.
