Their unusual “Enclosed Open Frame” Design has been laid out for fully automatic manufacturing processes. Temperatures of +245°C, as are usual during vapor soldering, and are handled without problems.
The new RxS/RxD converters are optionally insulated to 3kVDC and have rated voltages between 3.3V and 24V. Converters with dual outputs – the “D-Version” – are rated up to 48V. Their low weight of only 1 gram makes them highly resistant against shock and vibration. An optimized lay-out guarantees low EMC-Radiation, and they meet EN5502 Class A without external components. EN5502 Class B requires components be only half the size of previous models and 40% cheaper.
