The addition of the new TX23D38VM0CAA complements the existing WVGA display modules already available from Hitachi: the 7.0 TX18D35VM0AAA and 8.0 TX20D26VM0AAA. The new 9.0” transmissive TFT display modules also extends Hitachi’s implementation of reliable and sturdy LED backlighting in medium size TFT display modules. The high brightness LED backlight, which is easily adjusted from 0% to 100% illumination using the onboard LED controller, provides excellent image uniformity and a highly impressive 800:1 contrast ratio whilst delivering a brightness of 450cd/m² and a lifetime of 70K hours.
“The TX23D38VM0CAA is ideally suited for embedded industrial applications which require accurate image reproduction and highly consistent optical performance,” commented Mark Stephenson, Product Marketing Manager at Hitachi Display Products Group. “Hitachi’s IPS-Pro display technology provides a stable colour image from any viewing angle, excellent colour saturation and very high contrast ratios.”
The TX23D38VM0CAA also supports an extended colour palette of up to 16.7M colours with a 20-pin LVDS interface that enables a high speed, low voltage data interface with high noise immunity.
Harsh industrial environments are supported with a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C while the TX23D38VM0CPA features an analogue resistive touch panel allowing graphical user interfaces to be easily developed. The new display module has dimensions of 218.0mm (w) x 135.0mm (h) x 11.15mm (d) and an active LCD area of 195.0mm (w) x 117.0mm (h) and weighs 330g.
