The NEXC series offers the first surface mount memory back up capacitor in a V-chip style package equivalent to those packages used for lower capacitance/value combinations. This advancement significantly increases the possible applications for memory back up devices as current SMT packages that are available offer only pseudo SMT packages with unconventional PCB layouts and additional handling issues during production.
These capacitors come on conventional plastic film reels and as such can be treated in production along with other SMT devices. A lead-free RoHS compliant finish is offered as standard.
