Small form factor Pico-ITX motherboard is big on performance

The LP-171, the latest 100 x 72mm Pico-ITX motherboard from BVM, provides a combination of high performance, low power, 2D, 3D and advanced 3D graphics, high-definition video decode and image processing using an integrated Intel GMA 500 graphic system.

Managed by the Intel SCH 15WP system controller hub and supporting the 1.1GHz Atom Z510P processor with 2.0GB RAM, the platform is optimised for embedded applications such as in-vehicle infotainment, industrial control and automation, gaming, diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, notepads and retail and transaction solutions. Integrated audio is provided by a Realtek ALC888 Codec that supports HD 7.1+2 outputs. VGA, DVI and 18/24 bit single channel LVDS are supported, with dual channel 18/24 bit LVDS as an option.

Despite its industry-standard compact size, the LP-171 is well provided with I/O and expansion ports. 1 x Gigabit LAN, 2 x USB2.0, 2 x RS232 are provided, as are a CompactFlash Type II socket for a solid state drive and a PCIe mini card socket. The board is powered by a single 12VDC external power supply.
