In addition to OTDR analysis functions, test features include a fault locator for automatically finding faulty events, plus an optional visual fault locator using a visible light source. A further option allows optical loss testing in conjunction with a built-in stabilised light source and optical power meter with a range of +10 to –70 dBm or +27 to –50 dBm.
The Yokogawa AQ1200 incorporates an easy-to-read 5.7-inch colour LCD display, and offers built-in multiple language support. It operates at wavelengths of 1310 and 1550 nm over distances ranging from 500 m to 200 km and with pulse widths ranging from 3 ns to 10 s.
Other facilities include a simple connection test option using the Ethernet PING test, support for an external video fibre inspection probe, and multi-core fibre test capability.
