Introduced for the first time to the UK market by Components Bureau is the JFG series of axial lead, metallised polyester and polypropylene film capacitors from jb Capacitors. Featuring high-temperature resistance, large capacity and good self-healing properties series, the compact capacitors are suitable for use in numerous instrument applications and DC and AC circuits of household equipment, as well as the fractional frequency circuit of acoustic systems. Depending on construction and shape, the series is offered as 4 sub-series.

Constructed from metallised polyester film as medium and electrode the JFGA series is cycloidal in shape and the JFGB series is flat oval – both are rated for input voltages of 100Vdc, 250Vdc, 400Vdc and 630Vdc.

The JFGA series is available in industry standard capacitance values ranging from 33000pF to 68µF, with a standard ±10% tolerance.

For the JFGB series, capacitance values range from 10000pF to 68µF, with a standard tolerance of ±10%.

Both sub-series feature a withstand voltage classified at 1.6UR for 2 seconds, 1.5UR for 5s and operate over a -40ºC to 105ºC temperature range.

The JFGC series (cycloidal) and JFGD series (flat oval), which are constructed from metallised polypropylene film, cover a broader range of input voltages – 250Vdc, 400Vdc, 630Vdc, 1000Vdc and 1250Vdc.

The JFGC series is available from 47000pF to 56µF with ±10% tolerance, the JFGD series ranges from 22000pF to 47µF (±10%).

Both sub-series feature a withstand voltage classified at 1.7UR for 2 seconds, 1.5UR for 5s and will operating temperatures of -55ºC to 100ºC.
