Cinch launches ultra-durable space-grade cable assemblies

Cinch Connectivity Solutions now offers its first commercial, off-the-shelf space-grade cable assemblies. Manufactured in the USA, the Semflex Space Qualified Cable Assemblies are constructed with rugged stainless steel to support a wide range of communication applications in harsh environments.

These cable assemblies are engineered to meet or exceed the stringent requirements of 1% total mass loss (TML) and 0.1% collected volatile condensable materials (CVCM), ensuring their reliability and longevity in the extreme conditions of space. They feature low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and insertion loss, and undergo 100% swept frequency testing to ensure signal integrity and reliable functionality throughout the entire operating range.

Engineers designing for space missions will find these cable assemblies ideal for applications like thermo-vacuum chamber testing, pre-flight testing, and pre-flight system evaluation. They are also dependable solutions for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites or satellites in all orbits, maintaining high performance over long periods of time. Cinch space-qualified components have been integral to several space programmes, including the Emirates Mars Mission, Parker Solar Probe, Europa Clipper, One Web, GPS Satellites, and various LEO communication satellite systems.
