ICs enable 4x25G and 8x25G connections for 100GbE systems
Designed for modern 100GbE systems, the AVSP-4412 and AVSP-8801 multi-channel retimer IC devices have been unveiled by Avago Technologies. Withstanding up to 32 dB of channel loss at 25 Gbpsper channel, these devices enable high-density, long-reach 4x25G and 8x25G connections for networkbackplane interface and VSR connections up to 4x28G for network front port interface.

In an all-cash transaction valued at $6.6bn (USD), Avago Technologies has entered a definitive agreement to acquire LSI for $11.15 per share. Adding enterprise storage to Avago's existing portfolio, the company expects that the acquisition will create a highly diversified semiconductor market leader with approximately $5bn in annual revenues.

Basée sur une technique d’interrogation de phase optique (OPI) brevetée, mise au point par Avago Technologies, la solution de détection permet d’utiliser POF – facilement disponible – comme capteur de contrainte de haute précision, comparable aux capteurs de tension actuels basés sur la fibre optique à réseau de Bragg (FBG), dans une large gamme d'applications, y compris la gestion de la charge de pales d’éolienne et la surveillance de l’intégrité structurelle d’autres structures.

Avago Technologies a dévoilé aujourd'hui le ACPL-32JT, le nouvel appareil optocoupleur intelligent 2.5A pour l'automobile permettant de disposer d'une alimentation isolée dans les systèmes motopropulseurs de véhicules. Cet appareil est équipé d'un contrôleur " flyback " intégré qui prend en charge la tension de sortie régulée ainsi que toute une série de diagnostics IGBT avec sécurité intégrée, rapports sur la protection et les anomalies afin de répondre aux exigences en matière de sécurité de fonctionnement dans le secteur automobile. Insulated-gate bipolar transistors require full protection to avoid damage and failures resulting from conditions such as short circuits, overloads and overvoltages. The protection is key to ensuring safe and stable power-converter operations in applications such as motor drives and solar and wind power generation systems. To detect over-current and overload conditions, isolation amplifiers featuring fast response or fast fault feedback can be used on the output phases and the DC bus.
