Colour sensor targets smartphones & tablets
A colour sensor, designed for display-equipped devices capable of detecting the colour temperature, brightness and RGB components of ambient light, has been released by ROHM. By leveraging original infrared removal technology and computing methods, the BH1745NUC reduces the effects of infrared rays by more than ten times compared with conventional devices. This enables compatibility with dark (low permeability) optical windows.

A 10.1” multi-touch medical terminal, powered by TI's OMAP 4470 Dual core Cortex-A9 and Android OS 4.1.1, has been released by Arbor Technology. The lightweight, slim-profile M1012 terminal is suitable for bedside infotainment and medical thin-client applications. Supporting 75mm VESA, the M1012 can be mounted with arms or stands.
