DLP chipset offers five times faster continuous streaming
It's highest speed and resolution chipset for 3D printing and lithography applications, the DLP9000X has been introduced by Texas Instruments. The chipset, consisting of the DLP9000X Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) and the newly available DLPC910 controller, offers developers more than five times the speed at continuous streaming compared to the existing DLP9000 chipset. The DMD and controller are now available for purchase.
Whitepaper explores IP video network design basics
AMG has produced a free downloadable whitepaper that guides readers through the basics of IP video network design. Written expressly for those who have analogue CCTV knowledge and who want to understand the basics of IP video system design, the whitepaper takes into account the significant changes in technology that have taken place over the past 15 years. It looks specifically at:
Software framework enables real-time object recognition
CEVA has introduced the CEVA Deep Neural Network (CDNN), a real-time neural network software framework, to streamline machine learning deployment in low-power embedded systems. Harnessing the processing power of the CEVA-XM4 imaging & vision DSP, the CDNN enables embedded systems to perform deep learning tasks three times faster than the leading GPU-based systems while consuming 30 times less power and requiring 15 times less memory bandwidth...
Open standard LPWAN SDK is available for free
The Weightless SIG has announced a complete Weightless-N development environment for LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) connectivity in IoT projects. The dev kits include a desktop base station with the same functionality as a commercial grade base station packaged in a non-ruggedised casing, a base station antenna, an end product module mounted on a development carrier board with external connections, a module antenna and a complete set of cabl...
Development modules support advanced HMI video engine
FTDI Chip continues to enlarge the development ecosystem surrounding its Embedded Video Engine (EVE) platform for advanced HMI implementation. The latest additions concern the FT810 series of high resolution EVE ICs, which are now in full scale production. In order to support these devices, the company has announced the VM810C50 family of compact development modules.
IJTAG interoperability demos at ITC in Anaheim
At the International Test Conference (ITC) in Anaheim, ASSET InterTech and Cadence Design Systems are demonstrating the interoperability of their IEEE 1687 Internal JTAG (IJTAG) tools, which enable the re-use of embedded intellectual property (IP) both internally on chips and externally onto system boards.
ATPG technology delivers faster test pattern generation
A new ATPG and diagnostics technology that delivers 10X faster run time and 25 percent fewer test patterns has been introduced by Synopsys. It will shorten schedules, accelerate silicon debug and reduce test time and cost. Innovative, memory-efficient engines for test generation, fault simulation and diagnosis execute finely segmented threads on all available server cores, maximising throughput while minimising the number of patterns required to ...
Automotive test solutions meet ISO 26262 standard
TetraMAX ATPG, DesignWare STAR Hierarchical System and DesignWare STAR Memory System, key components of Synopsys' manufacturing test solution, are now certified for the ISO 26262 automotive functional safety standard. SGS-TÜV Saar, an independent accredited assessor, formally certified Synopsys' TetraMAX, STAR Hierarchical System and STAR Memory System following an in-depth Functional Safety Process Audit of the tool and IP development proce...
