ISI capability enhances high performance BERT
Keysight Technologies has introduced adjustable and integrated intersymbol interference (ISI) capability for the J-BERT M8020A high-performance BERT. When engineers characterise and test high-speed digital receivers for compliance, they often need to emulate a certain channel loss. The new adjustable and programmable ISI function allows engineers to emulate channel loss.
DC electronic loads offer transient operation up to 25kHz
B&K Precision has added a new product to its range of standalone DC load offerings. The 8600 Series programmable DC electronic loads deliver the performance of modular system DC electronic loads in a compact benchtop form factor. The series includes three models of 150 W - 250 W DC electronic loads that can sink current up to 60 A at wide voltage ranges up to 500 V.
USB arbitrary waveform generator aims at multiple applications
ACCES I/O Products has released a new USB high speed arbitrary waveform output board with flexible ranges and configurable digital I/O lines. Industry standard BNC connectors are used for the analogue waveform output and the gate control input, while the utility digital I/O lines are accessed via a 16-pin shrouded connector.
Wireless test set extended to meet new LTE-A challenges
Keysight Technologies has expanded the capabilities of its E7515A UXM wireless test set. The new features address the rapidly evolving 3GPP LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation advancements. The UXM wireless test set is a highly integrated signalling test set created for functional and RF design validation in the 4G era and beyond.
Unwanted reflections suppressed for precise 3D AOI
CyberOptics has announced that it will launch its SQ3000 3D AOI system in Booth 3332 at the IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place 24th to 26th February 2015 at the San Diego Convention Center, California. Alongside the SQ3000 3D AOI, the booth will also feature the CX150i automated conformal coating inspection system and the SE600 premier 3D SPI system.
TWT amplifiers feature at EMV 2015
TMD Technologies will paradea wide range of travelling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) applications at EMV 2015 exhibition in Stuttgart (March 24-26). Highlighting TMD’s capability in the EMC field, the products on show will offer power outputs extending up to 40 kW for certain pulsed models, covering the frequency range from DC to 40 GHz using suites of both TWT based and solid state amplifiers.
Graphical sampling integrated into digital multimeter
Citing a market trend for more accurate low power measurements, Keithley Instruments has launched a graphical sampling digital multimeter. “The time to market pressure on engineers is relentless,” says Peter Bachmeyer, Technical Marketing Manager, EMEA, Keithley Instruments. “Typically with a digital multimer, the engineer only sees a numerical display of test results. They want more.”
Test solutions accelerate USB 3.1 compliance
A comprehensive set of USB 3.1 compliance test solutions that allows designers to quickly verify designs against the latest USB specifications and achieve fast time to market while minimising costs has been launched by Tektronix. The new release expands Tektronix’ already extensive USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 test capabilities to include a new USB 3.1 receiver test solution supporting the 10 Gb/s data rate, a new USB Power Delivery test solution an...
SIGTRAN protocol analysis tool runs over IP
GL Communications has introduced enhanced SIGTRAN Protocol Analysis and Simulation tools. The SIGTRAN protocols are an extension of the SS7 protocol family, but carried over IP. A Signaling Gateway (SG) translates the SS7 TDM layers to SIGTRAN IP format. It supports the same application and call management functions as SS7 but uses two protocol layers on top of Internet Protocol (IP): Stream Control Transport Protocol (SCTP) and M3UA MTP3 User Ad...
Portable recorder supports host of sFPDP operation modes
Pentek has added the Model RTR 2736A multi-channel Serial FPDP (sFPDP) rugged portable recorder to its Talon family. It is suitable for military and aerospace, radar, and communications applications. The recorder is capable of capturing up to 8 Serial FPDP data streams in real time to solid state drives (SSD).
