EDS capabilities added to FE-SEM system
Keysight Technologies’ latest field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), the 8500B, offers scientists the analytical power of energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), fully integrated within a compact, low-voltage FE-SEM. The plug-and-play FE-SEM has been designed for use in practically any lab and requires only an AC power outlet. The image resolution rivals that of much larger and more expensive FE-SEMs.
Low wear test plugs ensure reliable connections
Peak Group is offering a range of test plugs for standard industrial interfaces produced by German manufacturer ENGMATEC. The test plugs are designed to speed the production testing of electronic equipment incorporating a range of standard interfaces including USB, HDMI, RJ45 and eSata. They have been specially developed for industrial-level automatic testing.
Making power quality measurements: AC input analysis
This short video will demonstrate making a power quality measurement on your power supply, using Keysight InfiniiVision X-Series oscilloscopes.
Contactor offers M2M evaluation bench & reliability testing
Yamaichi has released test contactors for M2M modules which manage global positioning and data transmission in industrial, consumer and automotive products. M2M modules allow the interconnection of electronics apparatus and enable automated communication to provide wireless control and real-time monitoring.
TDR measurement capability added to cable analyser
Keysight Technologies has two cable test options for its FieldFox handheld analysers. Cables (e.g., waveguide, coaxial and twisted-pair) are the most widely used components in RF and microwave communication systems. They are also the leading cause of their failure. During maintenance of these systems, engineers and technicians need to measure cable performance (e.g., return loss and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR)), while also identifying faul...
Cold chain monitoring solution addresses logger inadequacies
A disposable temperature logging foil demonstrator for cold chain monitoring has been developed by NXP and Enfucell. According to the NXP, the loggers currently used for cold chain monitoring are inadequate. Chemical temperature loggers can only detect simple cold chain excursion and do not indicate when the event occurred, while reusable electronic loggers can only be deployed at pallet level.
Device is a five-channel CAN-to-USB interface & datalogger
Allowing users to monitor and log data from multiple CAN channels using just one device, the Memorator Pro 5xHS five-channel CAN-to-USB interface and datalogger has been released Kvaser. The high-speed device not only time synchronises the data transmitted and received across all five buses but also automatically synchronises with other Kvaser interfaces connected to the same PC, resulting in a more accurate multichannel data capture.
On the menu: Power analyser with added oscilloscope
Keysight Technologies has combined the attributes of an oscilloscope into its IntegraVision power analyser. It means R&D engineers designing and testing electronic power conversion systems can now use one instrument to access dynamic views of current, voltage and power. Neither will they have to use a power analyser to make an accurate measurement and then turn to an oscilloscope to visualise repetitive and single-shot events such as turn-on ...
Design for testability arm established
TVS has added a new Design for Testability (DFT) business arm - asureDFT. asureDFT extends TVS’s expertise in test and verification into the DFT domain where ever-increasing design complexity combined with complex on-chip variation effects at lower process modes have introduced unique challenges for achieving first-pass silicon success.
Bottom-up AOI can utilise 9 camera angles
Mek (Marantz Business Electronics), will be showcasing the SpectorBOX “Bottom-Up” 3D Modular AOI system at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, at the stand of its UK Distributor, Gen3 Systems Limited. The system replaces traditional board flipping alternatives, taking up less space and at lower cost.
