Conversion kit meets SOT23 packages test challenge
A high volume test handling solution for SOT23 packages has been introduced by Multitest. The innovative conversion kit design allows for tri-temp testing of SOT23 packages on the production proven MT9928 gravity handler. Traditionally, these packages were handled on turret handlers, but these types of handlers do not support temperature testing.
USB oscilloscope generates 40MHz signals
The Handyscope HS5-540 has a true form CDS generator capable of generating high fidelity signals up to 40 MHz. The Arbitrary waveform generator sampling frequency is adjustable up to 240 MHz. The 64 MSamples waveform buffer allows for many user applications. The CDS system of the Handyscope HS5-540 Arbitrary waveform generator gives a typical spurious distortion below -85 dB at 100 kHz signal frequency.
DIMM sockets test challenge solved by hardware adapters
To meet a long-standing challenge, JTAG Technologies has announced a new family of hardware adapters specifically designed for testing of a variety of DIMM & SODIMM sockets (sizes and styles) using a JTAG/boundary-scan controller and supporting software. The problem of testing DIMM memory sockets has always been troublesome for test and production engineers using JTAG/boundary-scan systems.
Saki to present advanced AOI at NEPCON Thailand
Saki Corporation has said it will present its 3D automated optical inspection equipment with side-angle cameras and ring lighting technology at NEPCON Thailand 2016 in Bangkok. Saki's 2D AOI system for simultaneous double-sided PCB inspection will also be on display.
Nordson DAGE at SEMICON West
Nordson DAGE is to exhibit at SEMICON West (July 12-14) in San Francisco. Recognised as a leader in X-ray inspection for electronics, Nordson DAGE will show its 4th generation, ultra-high resolution, off-line MXI X-ray system – the Quadra 7 – for the first time in the Americas’.
Pasternack offers ready-to-use semi-rigid test probes up to 6GHz
Pasternack debuts a new line of semi-rigid test probes designed to assist in testing microwave circuits. By soldering the outer conductor to the signal ground and the exposed center conductor to the trace carrying the signal of interest, sampling measurements with these probes can be made without having to create a separate subassembly circuit board or add a connector to the circuit layout which can take up valuable real estate.
Nanoprobe enables measurement of proteins in living cells
A team of researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Rowland Institute at Harvard University have used a specialised nanoprobe developed by the Harvard/Rowland investigators to directly measure levels of key proteins within living, cultured cells. As described in the journal Nano Letters, the investigators used the device to track levels of the Alzheimer's-disease-associated proteins amyloid-beta (A-beta) and tau in neurons and...
LTE Band 14 RF conformance tests validated
Six RF conformance test cases for LTE-capable high-power user equipment (HPUE) have been validated by Rohde & Schwarz, allowing the certification of such devices to start. The R&S TS8980 test system is the first and so far only test system that covers these tests for LTE band 14 public safety networks.
