Testing options readied for Barcelona outing
At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Feb 22-25), Rohde & Schwarz will showcase its innovations at two booths. Solutions for device and infrastructure testing can be found at booth C40 in hall 6. At booth B50 in the same hall, Rohde & Schwarz and subsidiary SwissQual will present the latest developments in mobile network testing and also present cybersecurity solutions.
Uber is using smartphone tech to verify feedback
Feedback from both riders and drivers is important for Uber, hence why the company insist that drivers rate the passengers, and vice versa, after each ride. The reasons for low ratings are not always obvious: a driver might be unhappy about an unruly passenger; or, alternatively, a rider might be worried that the driver was going too fast.
Five in one scope moves into distribution channel
The new Scope Rider from Rohde & Schwarz is a portable digital oscilloscope with the capabilities of a laboratory instrument is available from distributor MDL Technologies. It has an acquisition rate of 50 000 waveforms per second, a 10 bit A/D converter and a maximum bandwidth of 500MHz for the analogue input channels.

Oscilloscopes to the fore at Embedded World
The Embedded World exhibition in Nuremberg (Feb 23-25) will supply the platform for Rigol Technologies to present its complete product portfolio. Besides the Oscilloscope series MSO/DS2000A and MSO/DS4000 offering 50MHz up to 1GHz bandwidth, Rigol will show the new MSO-Ready Mixed Signal Oscilloscope series DS1000Z Plus with 70MHz and 100MHz bandwidth.

Computrol Increases AOI Capabilities
Computrol has purchased two Mirtec MV-7 OMNI 3D In-Line AOI Machines and installed them at its Meridian, ID facility. Computrol selected the machines following the success it has had with the systems installed at its Orem, Utah facility in 2014.
