Small LDO regulator provides fast transient response
Toshiba Electronics has released the TCR3UG series of small package, Low Dropout (LDO) regulators with an output current of 300mA, that are suitable for power management of IoT modules, wearable devices and smartphones.
Liquid level switches support higher supply voltages
As it strengthens its widely-used Optomax portfolio of accurate, cost-effective and reliable infra-red (IR) liquid level switches, SST Sensing is now offering the Optomax Industrial series. These devices offer the same functionality and operational performance as customers have come to expect from standard Optomax switches, but with the added advantage of greater overall electrical robustness and flexibility.
DC/DC regulator provides a serial PMBus interface
Analog Devices has announced a PMBus I2C controlled precision bidirectional current DAC designed to adjust the output voltage of virtually any DC/DC regulator. Through its PMBus compatible interface, the LTC7106 receives a 7-bit serial code and converts it to a bidirectional (source, sink) output current.
Transducer delivers improved die casting performance
Manufacturing precision pneumatic and electro-pneumatic industrial control components, Fairchild have introduced electro-pneumatic transducers into a recent application which has improved the performance of die casting machinery and reduced overall costs.
Where would wearables be without reliable batteries?
They can be worn close to the body, on the body or even in the body - wearables are being used in more and more applications, and becoming increasingly commonplace. The development of this global growth segment is inconceivable without powerful, reliable batteries. The batteries directly determine the performance and continuous use times. At the same time, they need to meet increasingly demanding requirements while becoming ever smaller, lighter ...
Protection diode combines up to 30kV with small footprint
A new bi-directional electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection diode, DF2B7ASL has been announced by Toshiba Electronics. The product mainly targets interface protection in applications with minimum footprint requirement such as portable equipment.
AC/DC power supplies offer medical 2-MOPP isolation
The latest RECOM RACM series 18W and 30W AC/DC power supplies, now available at Dengrove Electronic Components, have medical 2-MOPP isolation. They come in a compact, IP68-rated, encapsulated, plastic housing, and require no additional external components to meet Class-B emission limits.
EMC filter for single phase applications receives DC approval
A new series of single-phase filters has been announced by Schaffner. The new high performance filters are an extension to the standard variants of the FN 2070 series and are designed to meet the highest performance demands for single phase filters.
In-desk range extends desk power offering
As it looks to broaden its portfolio of workstation power solutions, Legrand UK & Ireland, has unveiled a sleek new power module that can be subtly fitted into the desktop. The In-Desk module, finished in brushed stainless steel, opens at the touch of a button to give users instant access to workstation power sockets and high-speed USB charging.
Fully integrated SVID and PVID enables voltage regulator efficiency
The latest Integrated Point-of-Load (IPOL) family has been announced by Infineon Technologies. It combines ease of use with high power density. According to the company, it is the industry’s first fully integrated regulator offering PMBUS, SVID and PVID functionality for powering Intel CPU POL rails, chipsets and ASIC/FPGA. With 50% space saving compared to alternative external power solutions, this is the smallest solution size o...
