Capacitive touch added to 7.0” TFT display line
Capacitive touch has now been added to Newhaven Display International's 7.0” TFT display line. The capacitive touch is available on both the economical and MVA 7.0” TFTs. With the distinct features of a TFT, along with the additional benefits of integrating capacitive touch, these displays are suited for any industry that wants to enhance the user interface experience.
TFT is resistant to shock, vibration and ESD
Featuring HSXGA (1280 x 480 pixels) resolution, an 8:3 wide aspect ratio and IPS (in-plane switching) wide viewing angle technology, the TX31D200VM0BAA TFT display has been launched by KOE. The 12.3-inch Rugged+ TFT display boasts excellent image performance with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a brightness of 1000cd/m².
21.5" display features a 10-point multi-touch screen
Designed to proved robustness and superior readability, the Proflat Monitor has been announced by Advantech-GPEG. This 21.5" slimline projected capacitive touch monitor features a 10-point multi-touch projected capacitive touchscreen for a sleek tablet-style feel allowing intuitive pinching, zooming and swiping gestures.
Multi-touch sensing solution incorporated into touch table
Zytronic announces that Italian touch interactivity innovator Touchwindow has selected the company's multi-touch projected capacitive touch sensors (MPCT) for incorporation into an elegant, low-profile touch table solution. The interactive table is aimed at use in hotel lobbies, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, waiting rooms and airport VIP lounges.
Infrared light emitting diode packs high output, small package punch
The Oslon Compact SFH 4710 infrared light-emitting diode (IRED) from Osram Opto Semiconductors closes the gap between high- and low-power IREDs. Despite the very small package it offers highly versatile output thanks to state-of-the-art thin-film chip technology. It is available at distributor Rutronik as of now.
7-in TFT display module widens viewing angle
Ginsbury has introduced Kyocera’s Advanced Wide View TFT display module. It achieves a viewing angle of greater than 170° (horizontal and vertical) and ensures that the colour fidelity of the display image is accurately represented when viewed from any direction. Featuring a contrast ratio of 750:1 and the latest high-efficiency, long-life LED backlight, the 7in module has a brightness level of 1000cd/m² which provides an ideal sol...
Optical bonding improves display readability
Believed to be the world's most advanced optical bonding technology, Distec uses the VacuBond high performance silicone optoGel. The manufacturing equipment is capable of directly bonding TFT displays in custom bezels and front housings with integrated protective glass. Moreover, the VacuBond process is reversible: individual components can be recovered, simplifying repairs and reducing repair costs.
PCAP controllers provide the industry’s lowest power
Making it easier for designers to add contemporary touch and gesture interface designs to cost-sensitive applications, the MTCH6102 projected-capacitive (PCAP) touch controllers have been announced by Microchip. The manufacturer has claimed that these controllers offer industry-leading low-power performance.
TFTs boast 80° viewing angle & consistent color reproduction
Two 4.3” IPS (In-Plane Switching) TFTs have been added to Newhaven Display's existing display line. The displays feature extra-wide viewing angles with consistent color reproduction, which is achieved by the horizontal arrangement of the liquid crystals that allows the backlight to easily pass through the liquid crystals without twisting and refracting.
