Client module launch heralds push into high-end computing
Starting a push into the high performance computing (COM-HPC) sector, Avnet Integrated has launched the MSC HCC-CFLS client module family. The product line is based on the new PICMG COM-HPC Client standard.
Single-board computer targets industrial users
An industrial-temperature–grade version of its Ultra96 single-board computer for industrial customers has been unveiled by Avnet.
Click board provides fast and easy prototyping
Adesto Technologies and MikroElektronika (Mikroe) have announced the availability of a new Click board that uses Adesto’s FT 6050 Smart Transceiver SoC. The plug-and-play FT Click provides a universally accepted interface via a mikroBUS socket to nearly any embedded IoT ecosystem so that engineers, developers, and makers can readily prototype thousands of different IoT applications.
Miniaturised controller for single and multi-axis
Maxon has announced that it is launching a new, miniaturised controller with a size of only 32x22mm as part of its successful line of positioning controllers. The price-performance ratio, with a functionality that's virtually identical to the larger units, addresses cost-sensitive single- and multi-axis applications.
Hardware-in-the-loop tests of AURIX based systems
Hitex has announced that it now offers extensive support for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing of AURIX based systems. HIL tests allow testing of embedded real-time control systems in a virtual environment. This can significantly reduce costs and test times.
GaN evaluation board enables cost-effective solutions
A new evaluation board from GaN Systems is announced by distributor Richardson RFPD backed by design support
Motherboard suited for demanding graphics applications
Kontron has announced that it will present the D3713-V/R mITX industrial motherboard based on the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 and R1000 line at this year's embedded world tradeshow. It features the SoC integrated AMD Radeon Vega GPU with particularly brilliant graphics and supports up to four independent displays in 4K resolution via DisplayPorts, one Embedded DisplayPort and a dual-channel LVDS (24bit).
Chassis facilitates multiple backplane architectures
Pixus Technologies has introduced a highly versatile 5.25” tall chassis that accepts 3U or 6U boards mounted horizontally of various backplane types. With Pixus’ modular design that accepts various card guide and rail options, one can incorporate OpenVPX, cPCI Serial, VME64x or other Eurocard architectures in the new horizontal mount chassis.
Carrier board solution to deliver AI at the edge
Diamond Systems has introduced STEVIE, a carrier board solution built to deliver AI at the edge high performance computing based on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier modules. Packed with I/O and expandability, STEVIE targets a range of AI, machine learning, image processing and other compute-intensive tasks.
Single board computer offers greater performance
IBASE Technology has announced the IB919 3.5” single board computer based on 8th Generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 and Celeron 4000 processors (codenamed Whiskey Lake-U) built on a further refined 14nm++ manufacturing process, offering greater computing and graphics performance than the previous generation.
