Powersolve - DC/DC Converters give 8W from DIP-24 housing

The TEN8-WI series of DC/DC converters from Powersolve provides 8W from a DIP-24 metal package. Height off the board is just 10.2mm and the package measures just 32 x 20.3mm. By meeting EN50155, these DC/DC converters can be used across a wide variety of railway applications.

Manufactured by Traco, TEN8-WI converters have ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage ranges of either 9-36VDC, 18-75VDC or 43-160VDC, feature output voltages from 3.3 to ±15VDC and an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +100ºC with derating above 80ºC. Typical efficiency level across the load range is 86%.
The new DC/DC converters feature short circuit protection, remote on/off, input/output-isolation specified to 1500VDC and EMC approval to EN 55022, class A. The devices also meet the requirements of EN 61373 for thermal shock and vibration.
TEN8-WI series converters are housed in a 5-sided shielded metal case with insulated baseplate.
