PCBs deliver enhanced functionality to telematics system
Newbury Electronics has recently completed its latest consignment of PCBs for Matrix Telematics, an international provider of telematics systems for vehicle management and tracking. The two companies have been working together for over five years and this success is based on; "relationship, performance and cost," according to Matrix Managing Director, Geoff Ball.
Logger transmits temperature & humidity data wirelessly
The industry’s first data logger that records and transmits CO2, temperature and relative humidity data wirelessly to mobile devices via Bluetooth has been introduced by Onset. Building on the success of Onset’s award-winning HOBO MX1101 Bluetooth temperature and humidity logger, the self-contained MX1102 is suitable for indoor air quality studies and environmental monitoring in schools, hospitals, laboratories and other environments.
EuMW launch for MGBASE-T Ethernet compliance test solution
A compliance test application for systems using MGBASE-T networking applications has been launched by Keysight Technologies. The Keysight U7236A and U7236B10GBASE-T and MGBASE-T test applications help network design engineers turn-on and debug MGBASE-T Ethernet networking systems faster.
Signal analyser offers 2Hz to 85GHz single sweep
The new FSW85 high-end signal and spectrum analyser from Rohde & Schwarz covers the frequency range from 2Hz to 85GHz in a single sweep. This makes it possible for users to test baseband and RF with a single analyser. Since no external harmonic mixers are required, the analyser makes the test setup much simpler.
Test probes position sensor supplies exact measurements
Now available from Peak Test Services are a range of test probes which features a built-in position sensor system designed to provide an exact measurement of the distance travelled by the probe in contacting the test item. They are designed for measuring parameters such as pin lengths, component heights or the depth of drill holes in wire harnesses and connectors.
Test system targets connected car ecosystem
An automotive record and playback test system has been unveiled by Spirent Communications. The company says that it will help drive innovations and improvements in the rapidly evolving vehicle navigation and connected car ecosystem. The test system enables automotive system developers to record many different real-world signals and then replay them repeatedly in development labs, to shorten the time taken to validate new hardware or software.
BGA interposer tests DDR4 designs in tight spaces
A BGA (ball grid array) interposer solution for testing DDR4 x16 DRAM (dynamic random access memory) designs with a logic analyser has been introduced by Keysight Technologies. Using the W4636A DDR4 x 16 BGA interposer solution, engineers can quickly and accurately capture address and command signals, and a subset of data signals, for debugging designs and performing functional validation measurements for data rates up to 2,400Mb/s.
70GHz oscilloscope takes centre stage at ECOC
A wide range of optical test and measurement products and solutions will be showcased by Tektronix at ECOC 2015 in Valencia (September 28-30). A highlight of the stand will be the DPO70000SX 70GHz ATI Performance Oscilloscope. The new oscilloscope incorporates a range of innovations that enable it to more effectively meet the current and future needs of engineers and scientists developing high-speed coherent optical systems or performi...
IoT test solutions debut at Semicon West
A full range of test solutions designed to enable the Internet of Things (IoT) including automatic test equipment (ATE), terahertz measurement systems, multi-vision scanning-electron microscopes (SEM) and an e-beam lithography system will be demonstrated by Advantest at SEMICON West 2015 in San Francisco (July 14-16).
Software updates seed LTE/LTE-A time to market
Significant updates have been made to Keysight Technologies Signal Studio for LTE/LTE-Advanced FDD (N7624B) and TDD (N7625B) software. Both signal-creation tools now support key features of 3GPP Release 12 (Rel-12), accelerating time-to-market for developers of user equipment (UE) and evolved NodeB (eNB) base transceiver stations (BTS) designed to achieve greater spectral efficiency, higher data rates and more-robust links in heterogeneous networ...
