Emulator simulates WAN real world conditions
The Multi-Stream IP WAN Emulator referred to as IPNetSim (1 Gbps/10 Gbps) has been announced by GL Communications. IPNetSim emulates an IP network with access to 10Gbps full duplex link or a 10/100/1000 Mbps full duplex link. For each direction, incoming traffic can be identified into separate user defined streams (up to 16 streams for 1Gbps pipe and up to 4 streams for 10Gbps pipe).
Software addresses new serial communications standards
Release 6.11.7 of the PicoScope software has been announced by Pico Technology. This version of PicoScope provides significant new capabilities for engineers, scientists, technicians and researchers who are working on the latest generation of electrical and electronic technologies.
Probes head off oxide layer build up problems
A range of probes are the answer to poor first pass yield, short probe life and excessive cleaning cycles, when caused by oxide layer build up or debris, particularly in lead free applications. In volume manufacturing the impact worsens as cycle count increases and elevated levels of debris are transferred to the probe tips. In many applications effective electrical contact is compromised.
AES programming tool guards against IP theft
The Spartan-6 FPGAs by Xilinx are protected against potential attackers and theft of IP (Intellectual Property) through the so called AES Programmer (Advanced Encryption Standard) from Goepel electronic. The Xilinx Spartan-6 AES Programmer by GOEPEL electronic is a tool integrated into the JTAG/Boundary Scan software platform SYSTEM CASCON. It allows programming of the so-called eFUSE register, including a 256bit AES key, via secure JTAG access.
Saki's next generation AOI systems on show at Nepcon Japan
Saki Corporation will debut its 3rd generation 3D automated optical inspection line that accommodates dual lanes, XXL sizes, and increases throughput by 15%, at NEPCON Japan - booth E17-46.
Arbitrary waveform generators run at 1.25GS/s
Two Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG's) have been unveiled by Spectrum. The models offer one or two channels each capable of outputting electronic signals at rates of up to 1.25GS/s with 16-bit vertical resolution. The combination makes these new AWG's ideal for generating high frequency signals up to 400MHz.
Module solution for HDR-capable consumer products
A new module transforms the Rohde & Schwarz R&S VTx video tester family into a comprehensive and flexible platform for HDMI 2.0a and HDR testing. The new module offers generator and analyser characteristics for data rates of up to 18Gbit/s as well as functions introduced with the new HDMI standard, such as scrambling. It is backward compatible with HDMI 1.4 and therefore replaces the existing HDMI modules in the product portfolio.
Handheld oscilloscope offers five instruments in one
Rohde & Schwarz is making a determined push into the value instrument market. It has launched its first handheld oscilloscope, the R&S Scope Rider which combines five instruments in a compact format. A rugged design makes it suitable for mobile installation and maintenance work. The instrument features isolated input and communications interfaces. It meets CAT IV standards and can carry out measurements on low‑v...
PAM-4 analysis software developed for oscilloscope platforms
Measurement application software designed to help engineers quickly and accurately measure and quantify PAM-4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation with 4 amplitude levels) signals has been launched by Keysight Technologies. The software is used with the Keysight S-Series, 90000A, V-Series, 90000 X- and Z-Series real-time oscilloscope platforms and the 86100D DCA-X Infiniium sampling oscilloscope.
Handheld process calibrators offer high accuracy
The CA300 Series of handheld process calibrators from Yokogawa is a family of three models featuring high accuracy and stability. Each model incorporates a dedicated range of functions for loop diagnosis, thermocouple simulation and RTD (resistance temperature detector) simulation, respectively.
