High-speed digital analyser probes offer mixed signal solution
The HDA125 High-speed Digital Analyser launched by Teledyne LeCroy expands the capabilities of its oscilloscope range. The HDA125 digital acquisition system captures 18 channels of digital data at 12.5GS/s. It can be added to Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes by means of the LBUS interface architecture.
User interface accelerates analyser measurement setup
New X-Series signal analysers that provide significantly enhanced capabilities for developers creating next-generation devices have been unveiled by Keysight Technologies. Most notable is a multi-touch user interface (UI) that streamlines measurement setup and creates a solid foundation for new solutions. Performance improvements and feature enhancements address emerging needs in aerospace, defence and wireless communications.
Solution delivers up to three times reduction in SoC test time
Cadence Design Systems' Modus Test Solution enables design engineers to achieve up to a three times reduction in test time, thereby reducing production test cost and increasing silicon profit margins. This next-gen solution incorporates patent-pending, physically aware 2D Elastic Compression architecture that enables compression ratios beyond 400 times without impacting design size or routing.

Uber is using smartphone tech to verify feedback
Feedback from both riders and drivers is important for Uber, hence why the company insist that drivers rate the passengers, and vice versa, after each ride. The reasons for low ratings are not always obvious: a driver might be unhappy about an unruly passenger; or, alternatively, a rider might be worried that the driver was going too fast.
Five in one scope moves into distribution channel
The new Scope Rider from Rohde & Schwarz is a portable digital oscilloscope with the capabilities of a laboratory instrument is available from distributor MDL Technologies. It has an acquisition rate of 50 000 waveforms per second, a 10 bit A/D converter and a maximum bandwidth of 500MHz for the analogue input channels.
Test and measurement maker gets TPAC thumbs up
