Universal IC test sockets suit different package types
Suitable for different package types, making them versatile, flexible and universal, Yamaichi Electronics has announced the IC561, IC564 and NP584 series test solution sockets. The miniaturisation and integration process of state-of-the art IC components is leading the major electronics manufacturers to use many different package solutions. For the multitude of different package types there is often no standard solution available.
USB-based spectrum analysers raise price/performance bar
“It’s a game changer.” Well they all say that don’t they? But this time around Dean Miles, Tektronix EMEA Technical Marketing Manager might have a point. The company has expanded its line of disruptive USB-based real-time spectrum analysers with four new higher-performance models targeting design, spectrum management and wireless transmitter installation and maintenance applications.
Offline X-ray with Unbeatable Brilliance,
Viscom has reworked its MXI system X8011 PCB and launched the result as the X8011-II PCB. It will be presented at SMT Hybrid Packaging 2016 taking place in Nuremberg.
Power analyser tests to latest standards
The PA3000, a 1- to 4-channel AC/DC power analyser optimised for testing single- and multi-phase, high efficiency AC-DC and DC-AC power supply designs has been announced by Tektronix It is a multi-channel power analyser with 10 milliwatt standby power measurement capabilities and a 1MHz bandwidth with mid-range pricing.
Microtronic installs Sonix ECHO at demo lab in Munich
Microtronic has announced the installation of the latest Sonix ECHO at its demo lab in Munich. The Sonix ECHO is a scanning acoustic microscope that provides a universal inspection tool for packaged semiconductor development, production and failure analysis.
Protocol detects entanglement of many-particle quantum states
Physicists have developed a new protocol to detect entanglement of many-particle quantum states using a much easier approach. The new protocol, now published in Nature Physics, is particularly interesting for characterising entanglement in systems involving many particles. These systems could help us not only to improve our understanding of matter but to develop measurement techniques beyond current existing technologies.
Software applications automate digital radio test
Two new, automated test and alignment software applications to support the new Motorola APX 8000 Radios have been released by Cobham. The two software applications are available as options to both the 3920B Series Analogue and Digital Radio Test Platform and the 8800 Series Digital Radio Test Set. Both applications fully automate APX 8000 radio testing and alignment.
SkyBridge tool cuts DAS test time by up to 90%
Anritsu introduces the latest version of the SkyBridge Tools cloud-based test management tool, which reduces the time associated with testing and verifying Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) by as much as 90%. With enhanced features, SkyBridge Tools can serve as a DAS Test Management Tool that automatically creates detailed test plans based upon easily imported test criteria to greatly simplify installation and commissioning of in-b...
Subaru Saves 2,000 Man Hours with PXI-Based Hybrid Vehicle Testing
PXI has long been established as the de facto standard for building automated test systems, but its uses stretch beyond solely manufacturing or production test. With the PXI platform’s capability for running real-time operating systems or deploying code to FPGAs, it is also well suited to use earlier in the development process, particularly for complex devices like electronic control units (ECUs) and full authority digital electronics contr...
Browser head combination delivers easy to use probe
TheN2839A differential browser head has been introduced by Keysight Technologies for use with its InfiniiMax I/II Series probe amps, bringing the measurement fidelity of a solder-in probe head to hand-held browsing. When used with the InfiniiMax II 1169A probe amplifier, the N2839A gives users 12GHz of bandwidth.
